Sentinel I and II

This first print originated from a photograph of one of the guardian lions at the Imperial Palace in Beijing’s Forbidden City, taken during a trip I made to Asia in 2018. A couple of months later, I felt compelled to link printmaking with my background in photography; I proceeded to modify the printing plate by incorporating a series of photographs of the Great Wall, rendered onto the paper using chemical photographic processes.
